DIET vs EXERCISE Episode 1: Fat Loss Diet versus Best Cardio Workout to Burn Belly Fat

CLICK HERE for a FREE WORKOUT: www.turbulencetraining.com First instalment of diet vs. exercise where Craig Ballantyne and Brad Pilon show you how ineffective cardio is and just how dramatic your calorie intake can be without you knowing it. The simple truth is; you can’t out-train a bad diet. Today, in this contest, Craig Ballantyne is going to run on the treadmill on an incline of .5 and a speed of 10.5 mph for 3 minutes, while Brad Pilon eats pizza and drinks soda pop. Brad is going to try to consume as many calories as he can in those 3 minutes, while Craig is going to see how many calories he can burn off in that same amount of time. In 3 minutes, Brad consumed approximately 1000 total calories, while Craig burned only 43 calories. Cardio loses against diet. This just goes to show you, in diet vs. exercise, you can never out train a bad diet. It doesn’t matter how good your program is, if this is your nutrition, you’re not going to lose fat. 1. hmm.. I dont think its all that accurate, because losing fat is nothing more than calories consumed vs. calories burned. And a calorie is still just that, a calorie whether its from pizza or broccoli (surely broccoli is healthier). Another thing to remember is that muscle burns more calories than fat does, so get yourself some muscles and do your cardio on an empty stomach.. But you need to do your cardio.

  2. God bless you guys – best video i’ve ever seen that really provides the right perspective. its really that simple

  7. @Shenicab how are u doing on your weight loss diet end exercise

  8. good stuff. my weakness is sodas and fast food. i lost a ton of weight by almost eliminating them entirely from my diet. it’s ok to cheat from time to time, but even one can of soda a day can add up.

  9. thanks so much for this video

  10. yes but you also have to point out that exercise helps out your metabolism.

  11. @deadmau5ARGURU only using interval training burns calories way after you are done with cardio. And even though you are eating healthy you still need to eat less. Eating over your BMR even though it’s ‘healthy’ is still not going to get you weight loss results

  12. Clever demonstration :)

Gotta love Brad Pilon. He’s the man.

  14. EATING LESS IS THE KEY TO STARVING YOUR BODY DONT EAT LESS, instead of consuming foods that are harmful eat foods that are healthier, dont eat less eat healthy, plus jogging is one of the worst if not the worst cardio vascular exercise out there. boxing swimming and plyometric activities is the key to burning fat. Cardio burns calories way after you are done performing.

  15. @nikkyo34 Can you say more about what you mean?

  16. Great idea for a video.

  17. The body doesn’t burn calories it DIGEST them. Its 2010, people still believe the calories in minus calories out bullshit?!?! LOL

  18. @davidmpenwell87 this is the most wise answer/ reply, it leaves much to the individual to decide upon how dedicated they are.

  19. great video, easy for a layman like me to understand, thanks!

  20. That is such a great video. Can’t argue with it.

  21. HI! ok so i only eat things like pizza occasionally… but what i want to know is if you have 1 pizza to breakfast lunch and dinner…your mostly muscle active burning off brain energy left right and center …you should be able to burn that within the day right? im gaining alot of weight but its mostly muscle it seems to take alot of calories to keep up my energy sometimes…even so a whole day burning calories to one pizza should be ok or should i expect a fat blob somewhere after?

  22. @sweetkisses4uonly eat less is the best way to lose fat

  23. @muzammilali007

    holy hell 5’10 @ 135 @_@
I’m 5’2 at 125-130 .. when I’m at 120-125 my stomach looks amazing…. so I dono maybe you just got poopy genetic pick to store all your fat in your stomach????

I’m not a doctor though, but I store fat at my stomach first.

or maybe its not fat that you have…
It could just be water weight, gas, food, and try taking a poop.

  24. @sweetkisses4uonly

    there is no quick way.
but I’d suggest switching it up to stay interested.

I like to do tread for 9.5 for 10 minutes then intervals of 12.0 for 1:00-1:30 a set then job it out for the remainder maybe 10 mins or less…

then run ymca track on ground so that my legs don’t forget what its like to touch a floor
