High Protein Vegetarian and Vegan Foods and Meals

www.ttfatloss.com Check out this video to discover high protein vegetarian and vegan foods. You’ll be surprised by how much protein is in a lot of “so called low protein foods”. I’m sure this video will cause bodybuilders and protein supplement addicts to freak out. Here we have another episode of Craig in the Kitchen. Today we are talking about Vegetarian protein sources, and what’s in my cupboards. We’ve done my fridge, so today we’ll look at some of the foods that are surprisingly high in protein. Most people make a big deal out of protein, and for fat loss it’s a tricky subject. We aren’t going to go into too much detail in regards to that, but for muscle building, protein is actually overrated. If you’re eating a lot of calories, then you’ll have no problem getting your protein, even if you’re like me and following a vegan diet. So what are the protein sources that I’m eating? First of all, we have Ezekiel cereal. A lot of people ask me questions about this stuff, exactly, where they can get it? We have it in health food stores and some grocery stores. The Ezekiel cereal has 8 grams of protein per half cup serving and you all know how easy it is to get 1 or even 2 cups of cereal in your bowl. So, from that alone you’ll be getting a lot of protein, especially if you mix it with something like Hemp Bliss, a beverage containing 5 grams of protein Almond Breeze on the other hand, only has 1 gram of protein/cup. Another thing I eat a lot of is oatmeal, specifically

  1. In my country we just eat rye bread (and if you dont live in my country, you probaply dont even know what good rye bread looks like) Any way great video

  2. you can also make protein shakes with protein that comes from Hemp, it’s very healthy for you

  3. @fulmaress thanks.

  4. @nyclear, the vegetarian source of B12 is yeast (fungus). Things like yeast pate (yummy sandwich spread that you get in healthfood shops), Marmite or Vegemite are examples of veggie B12. I had a vegan friend with B12 deficiency who took vegetarian supplements and recovered. Some people may be more prone to certain deficiencies, based on sex, age, lifestyle and genetics. i’ve been a veggie for 16 years and never had a problem with B12. I dont take supplements but eat variety of wholesome foods

  7. @dream2last yeah Im in this boat right now… if you can live just as healthy with fresh fruit, veg and nuts why do you need overprocessed foods and controlled grain feed beef, chicken and pigs… they are in no way natural animals anymore to get good nutrition anyway

  9. I am considering going back to being a vegetarian. I read the latest research that said the vegetarian sources in supplements of B-12 are not absorbed into the body well enough. I also heard David Wolfe who is the raw food guru say that he eats ants for his B-12. Any thoughts?

  10. Why do you say hey kids?

  11. @MrRufusAD Who cares what others eat? Make your own choise.

I can accept people becoming vegetarian or vegan. I won’t accept anyone telling me to do so. I obey only one person when it comes to my dietary guidelines: Myself.

Nice video! I still don’t know how you can overrate protein for muscle repair. I think it is very important. VEG FOR LIFE!

  15. Lentils, sunflower seeds, quinwa, are the best sources.

  16. m:EAT to live!!

  17. @MrRufusAD because fish is a great protein source and at the same time fish is also an animal and the reason why i seemed one sided was because that guy offended me on a day which i was in a bad mood

  18. @MrRufusAD listen…i’m not vegan…it’s hard.. but i do want to make healthy choices…i have mixed emotions about all this..and i called you a moron because you seem on-sided…honestly i’m trying to understand the truth about all this…there is one thing i will say though…many people throughout history have lived their lives meat free…with perfect health….well into maturity……then again the people from Okinawa have the largest life span then anyone else in the world : they eat fish.

  19. @MetalLicka777 in our day and age you can get what your body needs from different sources…..this is a complicated issue…and i do realize that you need to proteins and vitamins from meat……. (which you don’t have to eat meat anymore to get them…..do the research) so for you to say it don’t make sense is kind of bias…..there is a middle ground…..a balance…..that’s where people make the mistake…. and the love of the flavor of meat should not justify animal cruelty….

  20. @MrRufusAD so youre telling me it makes sense to restrict foods which your body needs just because you dont like the killing of animals. wow thats nice

  21. @MetalLicka777 vegan lifestyle makes a lot of sense….moron

  22. the only reason I stopped eating meat was because I notice I looked haggard after a day or two of eating meat. I guess because of the amt of energy it takes to digest perhaps it shows on the face as tired hag.

  23. stop being idiot and find out how to cook, you don’t need that shitty processed stuff… just cook more soya (it has up to 40 of proteins of it’s weight), beans, rice etc. everything is really really very simple, just try to think…

  24. Haha, glad they didn’t call the cereal Deuteronomy or Leviticus! Wouldn’t want to read that on my food

  25. Keep up the great work.
I agree with the protein advice, people are always aking about it.
